I have drawn several things theses last few days but i was not happy with any of them.
Too over-worked, too pretty, too illustrative for m liking.
i just decided to get a black pen and start drawing those two silhouettes from an old Yamamoto show (SS2000), a pure classique indemodable as far as i am concerned.
I sort of lost focus for a few days and then decided to post a series of studies based on an outfit from Yamamoto AW14. here are a few variations.
I love the incredible volume of the coat and the dramatic black silhouette.

Lovely outfit from Dries Van Noten SS14.
Lovely colour combination, lovely layering.
I enjoyed a bit of water-colour for that one, i really enjoyed it and think I will work with water-colour for a few more sketches.
This is a great outfit from Ann Demeulameester SS14.
I love a great black and white look, this style looks just like a pirate!
I illustrated it with my favorite medium : Ink and twig :)
This dress by Missoni is absolutely stunning, Ilove the plack and white simplicity, the movement and rhythm of the dress makes it really edgy and sophisticated yet it looks so easy to wear.
I gave it a nice black and white treatment with different sized marker pens.
I truly LOVE Yohji Yamamoto. this collection ss14 where he reworks some of his classic pieces with HighVis colours is just great and refreshing while keeping his personal touch intact.
I have worked this one in HighVis marker-pens loose colour blocks and added the outline and details last.
I haven't illustrated anything in ages, so going back slowly into the swing of things and playing around a bit to free my hand and spirit.
This is a model from Gareth Pugh amazing SS14 collection, I have always loved an all black look and the amazing head piece (or is it a fur hood) is just stunning!
I did this one pretty quickly, painting straight with the tube to get the main silhouette and adding face and detail afterwards.
